XRP Ledger had less than a million NFTs created at the beginning of 2023, but given the blockchain’s incredible development, this story has since altered.
On the platform, XRP Ledger has generated more over five million NFTs, surpassing a significant benchmark. Considering that NFTs were standardised by XLS-20 in October 2022, this milestone is still astounding.
Bithomp data show that 5,166,733 NFTs in total have been created using the XLS-20 standard as of right now. There are presently 4,775,325 NFTs in total, of which 391,265 have been consumed. The current total of issuers is 6,112.
In addition to NFT growth, XRP Ledger experienced an increase in network activity over the course of the year.
The 84 millionth ledger was successfully closed by XRP Ledger in November, marking a significant achievement for the layer-1 platform. The current ledger index is 84,921,417, according XRP Ledger Services.
Projects based on the XRP Ledger also show the increase. Co-creator of Sologenic Bob Ras described the developments of Sologenic and Coreum in 2023 in an X post. The co-creator of Sologenic/Coreum estimates a 35% rise in team size in 2023, and further growth is expected in 2024.
