SHIB is launching a massive giveaway, providing SHIB and BAD-branded cold wallets to the SHIB army, according to the official marketing manager of the Shiba Inu squad, Lucie, who goes by Lucie on Twitter and the social media network X.
Lucie hinted at the current Ledger hack in a tweet, albeit it was rather obvious.
Shiba Inu team giving away SHIB and BAD wallets
The team behind the well-known cryptocurrency with a canine motif, according to Lucie’s tweet, has 10 wallets with the Shiba Inu and 10 with the BAD branding, made by the Swiss business Tangem. Bad Idea AI (BAD) is a Shiba Inu partner that specialises in bringing artificial intelligence to the bitcoin market.
The wallets will be distributed to community members on December 20th, the day of the Shibarium Christmas Giveaway.

“I think it’s time for some of you to think about the ‘famous hardware wallet you use,'” Lucie said, implying that this well-known cryptocurrency wallet may not be as trustworthy in light of Thursday’s Ledger attack.
XRP army enraged with Ledger
Influential XRP user @XRPcryptowolf expressed his dissatisfaction with the Ledger wallet on Twitter/X, saying it was the source of “so many trust issues” in the cryptocurrency space.
Hackers took advantage of Ledger Connect Kit on Thursday. As a result, several Ethereum-based DeFi apps, including Phantom, SushiSwap, Balancer, Zapper, and others, were affected. It is unknown how many applications were specifically impacted by this attack or how much cryptocurrency was taken.
But the XRP community reacted since several of those DeFi apps included XRP along with other cryptocurrencies. Ledger has provoked a backlash from the bitcoin community on previous occasions. The business released a contentious upgrade in May that, in the opinion of many experts, would have serious security implications. In the end, Ledger cancelled the upgrade. This time, several people started urging a boycott of both Trezor and Ledger.
Regarding the attack from yesterday, Ledger stated via Twitter that a rogue version of the Ledger Connect Kit has already been found and eliminated. They went on to say that there was no breach of consumers’ Ledger and Ledger Live hardware wallets.
