A new version of the multi-platform Cardano light wallet Eternl, called Eternl v1.11.17, has been launched.
The new release represents a fundamental shift in the way collateral is handled. This ensures that, in situations when no alternative UTxOs are available, as when enrolling for staking following the funding of a new account, transactions conducted using Eternl collateral are now being used.

The upgrade ensures that Eternl will consistently attempt to generate UTxOs (3ADA) of collateral size through regular transactions. The settings still just have the “Set Collateral” button, which allows the user to send three ADA to their account if needed.
Additional fixes are also included in this release, such as the ability for sync workers to connect to the mainnet rather than the chosen testnet.
The update also included corrections for automated change output splitting, an open orders page list, and fee computation for some Keystone transactions.
Eternl said at the end of November that it has worked closely with the Keystone hardware wallet to include Cardano compatibility into Eternl.
Cardano (ADA) price action
Cardano’s price motion, in the opinion of cryptocurrency expert Ali, is still following a well-established historical pattern.
According to Ali, the price trend of ADA resembled its pattern from 2018 to 2020, when it consolidated before rising sharply. Ali thinks ADA will soon break over the $0.45 resistance level if this trend continues. After that, there’s a chance for a rally to $0.75 by the end of December.
As of this writing, ADA has dropped 1.93% to $0.436 over the previous day. Positive news for Cardano was reported by on-chain analytics company Santiment, which also showed a decline in the number of ADA addresses overall. Declining wallets usually mean small holders are giving up and selling to whales at a loss, but this is good news for ADA.
