Ethereum (ETH) Risks Return to $2,000 in Event of This Scenario

If a scenario put up by the TD sequential verifies, Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, may return to $2,000, according to cryptocurrency expert Ali.

Ali claims that at a crucial resistance level, the TD sequential—which is well-known for its precision in ETH price movements on the four-hour chart—has flashed a sell signal. If this signal is sustained, ETH may reverse course and go back towards the $2,000 mark.

As of this writing, ETH has increased by 2.22% to $2,076 during the previous day. A move towards $2,000 would result in a short-term 5% decline in ETH.

Santiment notes that the biggest Ethereum wallets, meanwhile, are still showing a positive trend. As more currencies shift to self-custody, nonexchange wallet holdings have skyrocketed to an all-time high of 41.03 million ETH, while the ten largest exchange wallet holdings have dropped to an all-time low of 8.03 million ETH after six months.

Ethereum developers announce important update on Goerli

In the next months, client and EF testing teams will stop supporting Goerli, Ethereum’s first multiclient testnet.

The network’s last upgrade will be the Dencun update. Three months following the Goerli Dencun activation or one month following the Dencun mainnet activation, whichever occurs first, the aforementioned teams will start removing their validators.

Before this happens, users of Goerli as a stable testnet should go elsewhere.

Although Goerli staking is permissionless, the great bulk of stake is held by validators from testing and client teams. Their departures will thereby affect the stability of the network.

Teams also plan to use this chance to try mass slashings, delayed finality, and inactivity leaks.

Application and tool developers are invited to test decentralised apps, smart contracts, and other EVM capabilities using Sepolia.

The newly released Holesky testnet is recommended for usage by testers and infrastructure providers that are interested in protocol-level testing. When it comes to validator setup testing, stakeholders have to take into account the Ephemery testnet. As of right now, Goerli is anticipated to be the first testnet to enable the Dencun update.
