
According to Whale Alert, a website that records and publishes big cryptocurrency transactions, a stunning 30.8 million XRP tokens, equivalent to $15.2 million, were recently moved from an unidentified wallet to Bitstamp, one of the top cryptocurrency exchanges.
Recent flurry of XRP activity to Bitstamp
This most recent transaction is not unusual. Bitstamp has experienced a constant infusion of XRP tokens from unidentified wallets over the last two weeks.
The exchange got 30 million XRP on October 17th, worth around $14.9 million. On Oct. 15, just two days earlier, there was another significant movement of 30.2 million XRP, worth around $14.7 million.
With transactions on Oct. 9, 12, and 11, respectively, each bringing in more than 30 million XRP, and with corresponding values ranging between $15 million and $15.2 million, Bitstamp’s wallets grew earlier in the month.
XRP’s price performance remains steady
Following these significant transactions, the price of XRP has remained rather stable, according to data from CoinGecko, and is presently $0.492205.
The cryptocurrency saw a little increase of 0.2% during the last day, while its BTC counterpart fell by 1.7%.
XRP continues to be one of the most widely used cryptocurrencies, with a market valuation of over $26 billion and a 24-hour trading volume close to $803 million.
The continued activity and steady pricing point to an equilibrium in the market attitude, with investors closely monitoring future events.
