Charles Hoskinson, the creator of Cardano, is at odds with the XRP community once more. He made fun of various Ethereum theories in a recent series of posts on the X social media network.
You already know that one of my favourite vacation activities is kicking the XRP ETHGate Hornet’s nest with simple soundbites that are tied to usually disregarded subtle aspects. It resembles the first winter snow, he tweeted.
The creator of Cardano also disputed assertions linking him to activities that occurred a significant amount of time after his turbulent separation from the Ethereum project. He also alluded to the unfavourable media coverage of his departure from Ethereum.
Struggling to bury hatchet
Hoskinson said in December 2022 that he would no longer answer inquiries on XRP or Ripple, claiming abuse from the XRP community and rumours of a Ripple-SEC settlement.
Hoskinson’s connections to Ethereum, which he departed in 2014, have been brought up in the conversation, which he vehemently disputes. In June, he attempted to bring harmony to the XRP community by asking, “XRP Community, peace?” He acknowledged XRP’s victory over the SEC in July, showing a willingness to put the past behind him. But in his August tweets, he voiced annoyance at always being associated with things that happened after he left Ethereum. In September, he also addressed the rumours of conspiracies.
Long-standing conspiracy theory
The conspiracy hypothesis at the centre of the debate contends that the SEC favoured Ethereum over Ripple out of unfair favour. The allegation that Ethereum may have utilised personal connections and underhanded business activities to distract the SEC’s attention is the basis of the conspiracy, which Hoskinson has made it plain he rejects.
CEO of Ripple Brad Garlinghouse refrained from endorsing these conspiracies in an interview.
He did, however, bring out possible conflicts of interest in relation to decisions taken by important persons like Jay Clayton and Bill Hinman.
