Shiba Inu’s Shibarium has accomplished its first significant accomplishment. Data from the blockchain’s explorer shows that the hot blockchain platform has already amassed more than a million blocks.
It took the Shibarium bridge a little over a month to reach such a significant milestone, with an average block duration of 5.0 seconds.
Other milestones
In August, Shibarium went online on the mainnet following a multi-month testing phase. It first ran into some technological difficulties, with a surge in new users leading to transactions becoming stuck. However, the problems were swiftly remedied, and
More than 3.3 million transactions have already been seen on the platform. Additionally, there are around 1.25 million wallet addresses in use on the network as a whole.
Despite these great figures, there has been little adoption as seen by the sharp fall in daily transaction volumes.
Shibarium is currently executing fewer than 15,000 transactions per day, down from a record of an amazing 202,970 transactions in December.
SHIB sees little volatility
The SHIB token’s price is now $0.00000722, according to CoinGecko, after seeing a little decline of 0.1% over the previous 24 hours.
The coin has just slipped below Chainlink (LINK), however it still holds the 19th-place position by market capitalization.
