According to a recent tweet by well-known blockchain tracker Whale Alert, about five trillion SHIB meme currencies have been transferred between anonymous whales.
This transaction occurred as a number of crucial Shibarium Layer 2 blockchain metrics climbed to new highs during the previous 24 hours due to a significant influx of new users.
Trillions of SHIB on the move as new whale emerges
A remarkable transfer of 4,642,530,677,374 SHIB worth $38,057,145 was revealed by the aforementioned tracker.
This incredible sum of SHIB was transferred from a wallet to a brand-new address two hours after the first transaction (out of the four) was performed, which may indicate either a sale to a new crypto whale or a crypto holder transferring his SHIB holdings.
Earlier this month, Whale Alert saw and alerted the cryptocurrency community to a number of identical transfers totalling just under five trillion SHIB.
Shibarium receives major boost overnight
Shiba Inu’s Layer 2 blockchain has been rapidly growing ever since it was effectively reactivated on Monday, according to the Shibariumscan explorer. Particularly during the last several days, there has been a significant increase in transactions and wallets linked to Shibarium.
The total number of transactions has increased to 431,972, up about 132,000 transactions, while the number of wallets connected to Shibarium has increased by around 14,500, up from 384,504 yesterday.
Thanks to the combined efforts of various teams, including Shiba Inu, Polygon, Unification, and others, Shibarium was revived. When Shibarium froze, Shytoshi Kusama, the SHIB team’s fictitious boss, phoned the Polygon co-founders, who instantly offered resources to help the SHIB team out.
One of the Polygon founders tweeted earlier this week to promote Shibarium and wish them luck with their ambitious undertaking.
