Cardano’s Mithril Nearly Ready for Mainnet Launch

Cardano

According to Richard McCracken, a well-known member of the Cardano community, notes from a recent Stake Pool Operator (SPO) call indicate that Cardano’s eagerly awaited Mithril protocol is nearing the completion of its Mainnet deployment.

Final testing is now being conducted, and Cardano is continuing to show its dedication to enhancing scalability and performance.

With one relay in P2P mode and another in manual or topology updater mode, McCracken’s update advises SPOs to upgrade to node version 8.0.0 on the mainnet. However, he advises a careful approach to the mainnet transition and advises using version 8.1.1 solely on the preview testnet for the time being. These updates demonstrate Cardano’s dedication to maintaining the network’s stability while making significant changes.

The mainnet rollout of the Mithril protocol looks to be approaching. Participants in the community and stakeholders are encouraged to join the Discord channel so that Mithril can be launched, tested, and collected user input. The community-focused culture of Cardano is built on a collaborative approach.

Through a stake-based threshold signature technique, the Mithril protocol seeks to strengthen and lighten the blockchain in order to improve chain synchronisation, state bootstrapping, and trust concerns in blockchain applications.

Other updates from McCracken on governance included the fact that Delegated Representatives (DREPs) would be able to maintain their anonymity and that there would be no saturation limit on the number of delegations that a DRep might accept.
