BONE, the Shiba Inu governance token, received a tonne of attention from exchanges during the last week as it was listed on six new platforms. Major exchanges like OKX and Huobi Global are among them.
The Shiba Inu community desires Binance, the biggest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, to include BONE, despite the fact that it appears that major exchanges are now showing interest in BONE as its popularity increases.
In a recent AMA, Changpeng (CZ) Zhao, CEO of Binance, spent an hour on Twitter responding to audience questions. After the CEO of Binance mentioned SHIB, the Shiba Inu community was astounded.
Despite not having any firsthand knowledge of this form of asset, CZ had mentioned Binance’s support for meme coins in his speech. He stated that SHIB was listed on Binance, where it is now among the currencies with the largest trading volumes.
When responding to users’ inquiries about how well-known a meme coin must be before it is listed on Binance, the CEO of Binance used language along these lines.
Will BONE list on Binance?
CZ said that he does not comment on particular project listings, but that users are the most important factor to take into account when advertising a currency, even though there may be other factors.
He continues, “We’ll probably publish a coin if it has a lot of users trading it, seeking it, playing with it, etc. We probably won’t if the coin only lasts for two weeks. However, if it holds, we most likely will. So, we look at coins from the viewpoint of the user.
CZ stresses that he is not involved in the Binance listing process because a separate team is in charge of determining which tokens or currencies should be published.
The Shiba Inu community started a petition on Change.org in February of this year to show support for its listing on Binance. With only 2,042 signatures, the petition has not garnered enough support to have an impact.
Currently, Binance allows users to monitor the price of BONE. When BONE will eventually be listed on Binance is not yet known, though.
