Ripple v. SEC: Great If Verdict Comes in Few Months, Says Former Lawyer

Ripple

Former attorney and co-founder of XRPL’s Evernode, Scott Chamberlain, has responded to XRP investors’ worries on Twitter regarding the upcoming SEC v. Ripple lawsuit. He said in a tweet that many people of the community had been criticising Judge Torres’ protracted decision-making process. But he noted that it would be astonishing to decide such a complicated case in just a few months.

The Canberra Supreme Court took a disgraceful four and a half years to deliver a judgement, setting an Australian record for the longest wait time, as evidence of how long it may take for a court to render a decision, as highlighted by Chamberlain.

The crypto industry is keenly anticipating the outcome of the lawsuit, which may have significant ramifications for the sector, at the time of Chamberlain’s post.

The court case between the commission and the cryptocurrency corporation appeared to be resolved as early as 2023 at the beginning of the year. Even the CEO of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, voiced the optimism that the lawsuit would be resolved as soon as the first half of the year. But May has already arrived.
