Baseball United, a Dubai-based organisation, has selected Bonk (BONK), a Solana-based meme cryptocurrency, as its official presenting partner for its 2024–2025 tournaments.
Two showcase games for the professional baseball league were played in November of last year.
October 2025 is anticipated to see the start of its inaugural professional season, which will feature the Arabia Wolves, Mid East Falcons, and other Baseball United teams. Some of the world’s top professional athletes are represented by these teams.
Even with the new alliance, BONK is not doing well right now. Based on statistics from CoinGecko, the price has decreased by 4.9% in the last 24 hours. At the moment, the meme cryptocurrency is worth $1.27 billion.
This is a new convergence: baseball and cryptocurrency. Major League Baseball (MLB) and NFT startup Candy Digital, which was co-founded by bitcoin mogul Mike Novogratz, announced a deal back in June 2021. The most well-known baseball club in Australia, the Perth Heat, let its players to receive paid in Bitcoin later that year.
