The Shiba Inu community is being cautioned after receiving an important alert on an increase in frauds on Telegram.
In an effort to trick and con people, scammers are pretending to be official Twitter accounts associated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem on Telegram, especially those linked to Treat and Shibarium.
By making phoney Telegram profiles that resemble the official Shiba Inu X (Twitter) handles, scammers are taking advantage of the popularity of the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
These fake accounts are meant to trick people into thinking they are interacting with genuine Shiba Inu projects in order to earn their trust and maybe steal their assets. They have exact names that match those of the actual Shiba Inu X accounts.

Given this, the Shiba Inu community has received a safety alert from Shibarmy Scam Alerts, or @susbarium, an X account devoted to uncovering frauds, alerting members to be wary of phoney Telegram accounts as con artists mimic legitimate accounts associated with the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
The @Shibariumnet and @Treatsforshib accounts on X are operated by the Shiba Inu tea, according to the Shiba Inu-focused X account. On Telegram, the situation is different because fraudsters operate these accounts.
It is advised that the Shiba Inu community use caution and vigilance while communicating with Telegram accounts. They should constantly cross-reference announcements and offers with the official Shiba Inu website and X accounts, as well as confirm identities. Additionally, they should never give private keys, wallet seed phrases, or personal information to someone posing as a Shiba Inu representative. This is due to the fact that such private information would never be requested by official representatives.
The Shiba Inu community is advised to be wary of any claims that they are doing token airdrops or giveaways in the near future, since it has been claimed that none of these things are planned.
The main takeaway is to always be cautious, never click on dubious websites, and never give out your wallet keys or personal information to strangers.
