A recent update from the Shibariumscan explorer indicates that the layer-2 blockchain Shibarium built for the famous Shiba Inu meme coin has achieved two significant milestones. Both show a huge growth of Shibarium usefulness.
Meanwhile, the price of the second largest canine-themed cryptocurrency, SHIB, has traded sideways, failing to burn the sixth zero thus far. Shiba Inu is now trading at $0.00000971.
Shibarium sets new transaction record and regains daily high
According to the aforementioned statistics source, Shibarium has now set a new milestone after nearly two months of sluggish development, with the number of transactions surpassing 360 million. The total number of daily transfers presently stands at 360,936,003. On January 20, this statistic was 297.2 million, therefore the increase is 63 million during the last 20 days.
The number of daily transactions has also increased significantly, regaining the three million threshold. The daily transaction volume has increased significantly in recent days, climbing from 1.07 million on February 16 to 2.44 million on February 18 and currently over three million.
This is the highest result for this critical measure since January 28, when it was 2.93 million daily transactions. The number of wallets connected to the layer-2 solution has also grown, reaching 1,358,306.
Shiba Inu team introduces new type of NFTs
Recently, the SHIB team’s principal developer, known as Shytoshi Kusama, and other team members announced the forthcoming launch of Sheboshis NFTs on the new Ethereum-based token standard ERC-404.
These NFTs, designed for the female members of the SHIB army (thus the name “She-boshis”), may be claimed by SHIB users who already own NFTs from the Shiboshis collection. Shytoshi Kusama discussed this in the most recent Valentine’s Day issue of Shib Magazine.
Sheboshis will subsequently be bridged from Ethereum to Shibarium, along with the Shiboshis collection, which was introduced considerably earlier.
The SHIB head developer also stated that improvements are being made to the Shiba Eternity game. These updates solve bugs and cheating issues that have been discovered in the game. Aside from that, the team is finalising the play-to-earn and stake-to-earn options for participants.
