XRP Ledger, the decentralised blockchain that supports the XRP cryptocurrency, is slated to improve interoperability with a new feature called “XAH Teleport.”
In a new tweet, XRPL creator Wietse Wind revealed details about the future “XAH Teleport” function.
The “XAH Teleport,” according to Wind, would allow XAH tokens to freely transfer between Xahau and XRPL, as well as vice versa. All the while, it was unable to transfer XAH tokens issued on XRPL to the Xahau network.
The year 2023 saw the debut of Xahau, a new XRP Ledger (XRPL) sidechain. The Xahau network uses the same code as the XRPL protocol but adds several unique features that are not available on the regular XRPL blockchain.

One of the features added in Xahau is a new coin with the trade mark XAH. The principal use of XAH is to pay transaction fees on the Xahau network.
The advantage of the XRP Ledger is that it may represent any asset (other than XRP) as a token. The XAH tokens on XRPL serve as “IOUs” for the XAH currencies that exist on the Xahau blockchain.
In this regard, Wind adds that the planned “XAH Teleport” functionality would also allow Gatehub’s XAH IOU tokens to flow freely, as well as users to transmit XAH directly between the Xahau and XRPL networks. He states that this action will take only seconds.
According to the XRP Ledger developer, the next week will be spent testing internally and with ecosystem developers. Once this is completed, Xaman (Xumm) Pro clients will receive one month’s early access before the entire public.
In February, Xumm Wallet (now Xaman) released the Balance Adjustment xApp to make Xahau Balance Claims more accessible.
The Balance Adjustment xApp grants users access to a critical component of the Xahau network, allowing them to interact with the network and request balance adjustments.
