According to statistics from the Shibburn tracking website, there has been a significant increase in SHIB burns over the last week, with this indicator rising by more than 100%.
A subsequent tweet from the aforementioned source also revealed an increase in daily SHIB burns.
SHIB burn rate surges
According to Shibburn’s recent tweet, 102,040,474 SHIB were delivered to dead-end blockchain wallets in the previous week, increasing the burn rate by 160%.
In terms of daily burning, we have seen an almost 40% increase, with 1,530,193 SHIB burnt since last morning.
This week, the daily SHIB burn rate was generally in the red, so this is a rare occurrence to witness a surge into the green zone.

Meanwhile, the SHIB team is testing the automatic manner of burning SHIB on the Shibarium testnet, known as Puppynet. This testing began in January, ushering in a new age of SHIB burns, despite the fact that the new mode has yet to be installed on the Shibarium mainnet.
According to the Shibburn website, 410,708,406,779,693 SHIB from the total circulating supply had already been destroyed.
Exciting new ERC-404 NFTs coming
Lucie, a Shiba Inu team member, tweeted about the imminent release of the new SHE-boshis NFT collection, which will use the new Ethereum-based 404-ERC standard. Sheboshis were revealed before Valentine’s Day, and this collection honours women while establishing a bright future for NFTs.
Sheboshis will be available for trading on Uniswap and ShibaSwap whenever they are introduced. There are plans to connect them to Shibarium in the future. Lucie compared 404-ERC NFTs to Bitcoin Ordinals in their early stages. Lucie mentioned that with ERC-404 NFTs, the value is related to tokens in real-time and can be watched via charts. Although petrol prices are higher here, this also implies “bigger investments, leading to more significant market movements.”

Lucie went on to say that ERC-404 elevates NFTs above just digital art by providing value and “breaking the mould.” She reminded the population that Sheboshis had not yet been coined, cautioning the soldiers about potential scams.
