One of the best performing coins in the mid-cap market right now is TAO, the native core cryptocurrency of the Bittensor network. While AI cryptocurrencies are surging once more, the community is talking about the potential for TAO airdrops.
Bittensor (TAO) jumps by 21%, market cap smashes $2.1 billion
As of January 25, 2024, the Bitsor (TAO) cryptocurrency is outperforming all other major artificial intelligence currencies. TAO’s price increased by 21% in less than a day, setting a new local high of almost $370. On December 14, TAO prices reached an all-time high of more over $394.

TAO is the biggest AI cryptocurrency according to CoinGecko, with an aggregate capitalization of over $2.1 billion. Render Network (RNDR), the nearest competitor, is more than 30% less valuable on the market.
At the time of publication, TAO’s price had settled to $345 on the main spot markets. 90% of the TAO market’s trading volume, which increased by 62% in the past day and surpassed $21 million in value, is attributed to MEXC, KuCoin, and Gate.io.
Overnight, the AI cryptocurrency market saw a rise in valuation of 8.7% overall. This surge is simultaneously being fuelled by low-caps.
Today, the top three are all down: Fetch.AI (FET), Akash Network (AKT), and Singularity.NET (AGIX). Aleph.im (ALEPH) and InSure DeFi (SURE), on the other hand, added more than 50% in a single day.
Scam alert: TAO airdrop scams are on fire
The speculation over the possibility of a TAO airdrop may be connected to the increase in both price and net trading volume for Bittensor (TAO). The group did not, however, formally announce that it will arrange for another token distribution of the ones that are now accessible on Tier 1 CEXes.
As such, those who are interested in cryptocurrencies should exercise extra caution. A plethora of websites and X (formerly Twitter) accounts are advertising profitable TAO airdrop claim chances.
It’s possible that they’re all phishing attempts meant to steal bitcoin wallet contents.
Over the last day, the net capitalization of cryptocurrency markets increased by 0.3%.
