Ripple Shares Big Update on XRP Ethereum Sidechain Launch

The most recent information about the XRP Ledger EVM sidechain, which was created by Peersyst, a blockchain technology company, in association with Ripple, was provided by RippleX in a tweet.

In keeping with this, Peersyst provides an update from RippleX that covers the developments and impending announcements. Peersyst noted that 2024 has begun and that the long-awaited XRP Ledger EVM sidechain debut is now closer than ever.

The XChainBridge public amendment has already been released by the RippleX team and is currently up for vote. Validators have thus far cast seven of the twenty-eight votes needed to fulfil this condition, which is a must for the EVM sidechain to begin.

Peersyst said that the sidechain is more advanced than it has ever been in reference to the work completed so far. A second audit was conducted following the one with Bishop Fox, and the specifics of that one will be released shortly.

The most recent updates are being rolled out, along with a blockchain update for the Cosmos SDK. Validators will soon have the opportunity to cast votes for the update, which will include Ethereum’s EIP3855 and Cosmos version 0.47.

A new bridge version that enables users to automatically and dynamically bridge any token that is currently on the EVM sidechain to the XRP Ledger is also in the works. As a result, all of these assets would be able to leverage the XRP Ledger Mainnet’s features and conduct transactions more easily by using the EVM sidechain as a gateway and link to the other EVMs.

To enhance usability and enable dynamic bridging between any sidechain, wallet, and token, a new user interface has also been added. In the meanwhile, a bridge SDK has been put in place to assist developers in building apps that use the bridge to connect to both networks.

In addition, work is being done on the most recent version of the Blockscout Explorer. The explorer would have a new dynamic display of dApps along with other functionalities for executing and validating smart contracts, along with an enhanced UX/UI.

The creators of the XRP Ledger announced the release of rippled 2.0 earlier in January. This version has two significant feature improvements: XLS-38 Cross-Chain Bridge and XLS-40 Decentralised Identity.

Between the XRPL Mainnet and its sidechains, as well as between the XRPL Mainnet and its planned EVM sidechain, XRP and fungible tokens created on the XRPL would be able to transfer with ease thanks to the Cross-Chain Bridge.
