Michael Saylor, the founder of the massive business intelligence firm MicroStrategy, spoke to the Bitcoin community and alerted them to a new threat brought on by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technology.
A similar caution was issued by Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson in mid-December.
Michael Saylor warns Bitcoin community
The creator of MicroStrategy informed his followers on Twitter/X that his security team has been removing deepfakes from YouTube that were created using artificial intelligence. According to the Bitcoin advocate, the fraud films included Saylor, schemes involving Bitcoin trading and bitcoin giveaways every fifteen minutes. He included many “warning sign” emoticons in his message.

“Be careful out there, and remember there is no such thing as a free lunch,” he cautioned the locals. Saylor shared images of “him” discussing the Bitcoin ETF, which he believes would push the price of the cryptocurrency beyond $1 million.
A typical cryptocurrency fraud plan was presented by one of the commentators, who included an excerpt of an AI-generated video in which “Saylor” is speaking on a “PBD” podcast. She describes a “giveaway” and encourages people to deposit Bitcoin and scan a QR code to get double the amount they initially invested.
Scammers using AI technologies created films with Charles Hoskinson in December 2023. Michael Saylor has subsequently been selected by them for this purpose since he is a well-known and vocal supporter of Bitcoin and a notable player in the business and financial worlds.
Cardano founder worried about crypto AI deep-fakes
Charles Hoskinson also left a remark on a tweet in mid-December that included a deepfake video of him discussing a “Cardano giveaway.” Hoskinson acknowledged that the movie is now flawed and that this is evident. Nevertheless, he thinks that in the next two to three years, these AI-generated scam films will advance significantly, to the point where very few people will be able to distinguish between “AI fiction” and reality.
Within the next several years, AI technology should see significant progress, according to many experts. Among them is Elon Musk, the creator of Grok chatbot and xAI. He thinks that in less than three years, artificial intelligence will be able to write books, make new scientific breakthroughs, and generally improve on whatever that humans are now quite good at.
