The parent firm of Cardano, Input Output Global (IOG), has unveiled a new architecture designed to support blockchain network advancements. The new architecture, called Partner Chain, was introduced at the Cardano Summit 2023 in Dubai. Charles Hoskinson believes this breakthrough has the potential to completely change the Web3.0 ecosystem’s approach to the introduction of new blockchains.
The combination of “modular blockchain technology with Cardano’s proven security, liquidity, and reliability” will be used to establish and run Partner Chains. Although it will function with the majority of blockchains, its operations won’t have any network or technological stack-specific lock-in requirements.
When it comes to its Layer-1 peers, Cardano has always been at the forefront of technological developments. Recognised for surpassing its competitors in terms of GitHub Commits, Partner Chains’ launch highlights the company’s resolve to maintain its leadership position as the year draws to a close.
Cardano defined Partner Chains as its strategy for interoperability and scalability, two aspects on which it has concentrated from its founding. IOG specifically stated that while still integrating their ideas, Partner Chains would have the opportunity to take use of the provably scalable Cardano Settlement Layer (CSL).
Perfect complement to Midnight Protocol
IOG has stated that the newly released Midnight Protocol will be the first to take use of the advancements built into Partner Chains when they become operational inside the Cardano network, making it the ideal complement to it.
With Cardano always seeking scaling features, Midnight Protocol’s use of Partner Chains makes perfect sense. Partner Chains, the outcome of the IOG team’s more than four years of study, will serve as a more comprehensive display of modular technology, with Hydra Head being one of its primary advances in the goal of scalability.
On-chain analytics indicate that Cardano had a successful November, making it one of the top performing cryptocurrencies available right now.
