A pre-mine ETH crypto wallet has been discovered by the blockchain sleuth Whale Alert, which tracks down significant transactions of virtual currency. There are 2,000 coins of Ethereum stored at this address. The value of them at the current currency rate is $3,198,920.
Pre-mine ETH whale transfers its funds
According to a tweet from Whale Alert, the wallet woke up after 8.2 years, which indicates that it ceased being used in 2015, when the Ethereum ICO was in full swing.
The @lookonchain “Smart Money” tracker, another source on the X app, has provided information about this awoken ETH wallet, claiming that it has transferred all 2,000 ETH to four distinct blockchain addresses.
According to the X article, this whale acquired this amount of ETH via Ethereum Genesis. 2,000 ETH was worth $620 back then.

Ethereum price action
The second-largest cryptocurrency this week, Ethereum, had a notable increase of 4.71% on October 19 and 20, rising from $1,547 to the $1,620 price level. Following then, the price of ETH decreased little, falling by 1.46%.
Prior to that, at the beginning of the week, Ethereum and Bitcoin both had a steep decrease of 3.96% each when it turned out that the rumours that the SEC regulator had approved BlackRock’s application for a Bitcoin ETF were false.
At the time of writing, the price of one ETH token is $1,605.
For the first time since 2016, large-tier whales, or those that own at least 1 million ETH, have boosted their ETH balance to a total of 32.3% of the whole circulating supply. The on-chain data startup Santiment discovered transfers containing more than $1 million worth of Ethereum earlier this week.
