The XRP Ledger ecosystem may be experiencing steady expansion, according to one important statistic. XRP Ledger (XRPL) now has 4,812,427 wallets, with the growth rate continuing to be favourable, according to XRPL Services, an XRP explorer.
Different types of addresses, including retail holders and whales, own XRP. These accounts together have 58,882,058,146 XRP, with 1,162 accounts holding 0 XRP.
The rise of XRP addresses may be responsible for the notable XRPL milestones, such as Ripple’s victory in the SEC dispute. Given the improvements in XRP pricing this year, the increased popularity of XRP among traders may have had a role in the increase of XRP wallets.
Additionally, the XRPL ecosystem has been developing continuously, from the creation of fresh decentralised apps (dApps) to the rise of NFTs, which are now luring fresh consumers.
NFT transactions have lately continued to be a key growth factor for the XRP Ledger (XRPL) in this regard.
In October 2022, XLS-20 standardised NFTs and included advantages including royalties and anti-spam features. Several NFT transaction types are experiencing increasing activity on the XRPL mainnet, suggesting growth.
The Bithomp explorer shows that 3,058,398 NFTs with the XLS-20 standard have already been produced in total. There are now 2,721,532 NFTs in use, and 336,866 of them have been burnt. There are now 5,741 issuers in total.
A few XRPL amendment proposals are also up for voting, which suggests that if these ideas are approved, XRPL may get new functionality in the days to follow.
Jon Nilsen, an XRPL validator, has tweeted that a number of the v1.10.0 and 1.11.0 modifications are now secure for voting. Until more nodes are upgraded, he advises keeping a careful eye on 1.12.0 changes like the Clawback feature and AMM.
