Tech mogul Elon Musk, who owns the X app (formerly known as Twitter), has written a message about his recent conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Later, they reached San Francisco. Musk made fun of the proverb “History is written by the victors” in that video. In joking, Musk said that it is true unless the adversaries you beat are still alive and have plenty of spare time.
XRP army responds to Musk’s tweet
In an instant response to that tweet, a number of members of the XRP army reminded the crypto community that Ripple had won this year’s legal battle against the American Securities and Exchange Commission, which had begun in December 2020. Analisa Torres, a federal court, found that institutional XRP transactions indeed constitute as securities, in contrast to Ripple’s secondary market sales of XRP tokens. However, the XRP community and Ripple saw it as a significant win.

With recent efforts to bring Musk’s attention to their XRP coin, the XRP community has been highly active. The tech tycoon, though, continues to support DOGE, the first meme cryptocurrency. For instance, three to four years ago, if Musk mentioned Dogecoin in a tweet, the price of the cryptocurrency skyrocketed. Back then, Musk had a general impact on the share price of IT companies. When he stated GameStocks, the price of this company’s shares shot up (“Gamestonks!”). The “Elon Musk effect” was born out of this.
The joke currency LADYS and many AI-related cryptos are recent examples of when the tech mogul highlighted assets in his tweets or memes that he uploaded, sending their prices soaring.
Musk has not integrated DOGE on X app yet
Despite Elon Musk having said in several interviews and podcasts that DOGE should be used to enable micropayments and tips on Twitter, over a year has gone since he purchased the microblogging service without DOGE being added.
As of right now, Musk has changed the name of Twitter to X (“The everything app”) and included monetization and subscription capabilities that let content creators with significant audiences generate money from X’s advertising and subscribers.
Elon Musk has denied the allegation that the X app IT team is working on “an X coin” on two separate occasions. Musk has stated that he has no plans to build anything similar in the past.
The DOGE army is still holding out hope that the tech billionaire and Dogecoin supporter would ultimately include DOGE as a payment option on the X app.
