From September 13 to 14, Polygon will go to Singapore to take part in Asia Crypto Week. Polygon claims that it will release announcements and limited-edition souvenirs during the important event. Additionally, Polygon will talk about Polygon 2.0, zkEVM, and the just-released Polygon chain development kit (CDK).
The crucial stablecoin symposium in Asia, which is centred on practical applications in developing markets, will also include participation from Polygon.
The largest financial organisation in Korea, Mirae Asset Securities, has just joined Polygon’s ecosystem, as of last week.
In order to establish interoperability between the domestic and international financial infrastructures of South Korea and to support a consortium of securities token platform companies, Mirae Asset Securities will collaborate with Polygon Labs.
Polygon zkEVM mainnet beta set to receive big upgrade
An encouraging development is that the Polygon zkEVM mainnet beta will soon get its first significant update, Dragon Fruit, or ForkID5.
In March of this year, Polygon zkEVM, an all-purpose Ethereum scaling protocol with EVM equivalent, launched on the mainnet beta.
A new version of the Polygon.zkEVM.sol consensus contract is needed for Dragon Fruit. The update process has begun and is being carried out in accordance with Polygon zkEVM’s governance model. It is anticipated to be finished on September 10.
The Dragon Fruit upgrade is anticipated to be on the mainnet the week of September 11 and contains the most recent EVM opcode, PUSH0, bringing Polygon zkEVM up to date with Solidity v0.8.21.
