Shibarium, a Layer 2 scaling solution developed by Shiba Inu, has generated increasing enthusiasm, but there has also been an alarming increase in scams aimed at the SHIB community.
One such fraud has been reported on the X social networking site (formerly known as Twitter), where a fake account posing as Shytoshi Kusama, the project head for Shiba Inu, has arisen.
The fake account makes the false claim that “Shibarium scaling is complete” and implores users to “bridge over to Shibarium to redeem your rewards” by means of a shady link.
This scam tries to take advantage of the community’s excitement about Shibarium’s most recent mainnet launch. The Shibarium project is overcoming technological obstacles and is still operating in private mode, the actual Kusama recently informed the community.
It is important to note that the legitimate @ShytoshiKusama Twitter account prominently displays a SHIB label, which is the emblem of the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency, to aid the community in differentiating between legitimate and fake accounts. The real account further offers official updates and refrains from sending people to external websites without first making an official statement.
