Cardano Rolls Out New Node Version on Mainnet: Details

Stake pool operators (SPOs) are being urged by Cardano developers to update to the newest Node version, 8.1.1, which was published earlier today.

The most recent upgrade will improve platform operations by dispersing the epoch boundary-focused calculations throughout the whole epoch.

With this change, users should see smoother transitions between blockchain epochs, or time periods.

Node 8.1.1 also resolves difficulties with peer-to-peer connections (P2P) and the domain name system (DNS), according to Cardano community member Rick McCracken.

By addressing these issues, Cardano’s mainnet gains another level of performance and becomes a more enticing platform for both new and existing users.

Node 8.1.1’s release serves as another proof of the developer team’s dedication to developing its blockchain technology.

The Cardano team highly urges all SPOs to update to this most recent version, highlighting its suitability for use on the mainnet and the many advantages it brings.

Putting aside the intricate technical aspects of blockchain technology, this upgrade essentially aims to make using the Cardano platform better and more effective.
