Exclusive content from Quentin Tarantino’s cult classic will be auctioned as non-fungible tokens
Superstar movie director Quentin Tarantino has jumped on the non-fungible token bandwagon.
The eight-time Oscar winner will auction the exclusive content of the film “Pulp Fiction” as NFT on the OpenSea Marketplace.
Tarantino’s tokens were issued on the Secret Network, an anonymity-focused blockchain, in order to keep them private.
Each NFT will offer better insight into the creative process behind some of the scenes from one of the most iconic and acclaimed films of all time.
Buyers will be able to share the content with the world or keep them private for eternity.
Tarantino says NFT presents a new medium for his art:
I’m excited to be presenting these exclusive scenes from “Pulp Fiction” to fans. Secret Network and Secret NFTs provide a whole new world of connecting fans and artists and I’m thrilled to be a part of that.
In addition to making the content private, the secret network is also able to obscure the identity of artists and buyers.
With a budget of only $8 million, “Pulp Fiction” became an international phenomenon that is widely regarded as the most influential movie of the 1990s. Tarantino’s dark comedy single-handedly managed to elevate independent cinema and opened up the the way to many other successful independent films.
